Color for your bedroom can affect your physical and emotional health as well as your love life quite a bit.

Recommended feng-shui colors for the bedroom are the so-called "skin colors". As we know the colors of human skin vary from pale white to rich chocolate brown. You can play it safe and choose colors within this range that will work best for your bedroom decor.

Here are a few color descriptions and how they can affect your emotions.

Red
In feng shui, red represents fire, therefore it can be either elevating or aggravating. If you want to spice up your sex life, go for red. Yellow

However, you may want to avoid orange, if you and your partner are very new to each other or have a rough time asserting your opinions. White
White, in feng shui practice, is associated with the metal element. It stands for both purity and inner strength. For people seeking a sizzling sex life, white is probably not a good option. It has, nonetheless, more healing power than any other colors. Breakups can be excrutiatingly difficult to get over. If you have just experienced a painful breakup, decorate your bedroom with this color in order to clear your mind, renew your faith and nourish your courage to start afresh.

Blue

Purple

It is suitable for married couples or those who try to nurture their long-term relationship. If you hope for a steamy sex life, keep away from purple. If you are newly single and want to find yourself again, purple can enhance your spiritual insight and strengthen your sense of self.

Green
Green represents the wood element, hence in feng shui practice, it is the color of growth and change. Its evolving force is great for a couple stuck in a rut, or a single searching for an adventurous soul mate. If you and your partner have recently had a lot of turnarounds in your relationship or think you want to slow things down, it will be wise to minimize the use of green.

Brown

Sage symbolizes change and is great for couples who are stuck in a sexual rut. This is a classy and safe color scheme and even the most conventional home decorators will have no objection to this color scheme. Sage and ivory color scheme, though simple, is not boring and will not dampen your sex life like the shades of browns, blues and grays.

- Orange and yellow
A fusion of vibrant energy contained in orange and enlivening properties of yellow can help you have a stormy sex life. However, you must avoid orange if you and your partner don't agree on most topics or if you are recently married. The best part about this color scheme is that it is not as overtly hot as red, so you won't have a hard time convincing your partner to go for this color scheme.
